1. Eligibility
To use MateUp, you must be:

- Legally permitted to use a dating service under the laws of your country.
- Not a convicted sex offender or prohibited from using the platform by law.
2. Account Security
You are the captain of your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If you think someone has gained unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
3. Premium or Free
MateUp offers completely free access to all features unlike contemporary dating apps.
4. Code of Conduct
We want MateUp to be a fun, safe space. You agree not to:
- Post “Not Safe For Work” (NSFW) content in public profile areas.
- Harass, bully, or stalk other users.
- Use the platform for commercial solicitation or scams (e.g., asking for money).
- Create multiple accounts or impersonate someone else.
5. Content Ownership
- Your Content: You retain ownership of the photos and text you upload. However, you grant MateUp a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display that content to other users.
- Our Content: All logos, designs, and software are the property of MateUp. You may not copy or “scrape” our data.
6. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account at our sole discretion, without a refund of unused Credits, if you violate these Terms or if your behavior is deemed harmful to the community.
7. Limitation of Liability
MateUp provides the platform “as-is.” While we strive for perfect matches, we do not guarantee that you will find a partner. We are not liable for any damages resulting from your interactions with other users or your use of the service.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MateUp is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
